To empower our community (including club members) economically by exploring available income earning opportunities to our advantage and to act as a pressure group on our elected representatives to fulfil their electoral promises to the community as well as raise the voice of the community globally
Our History
Some young men just after leaving secondary school came together to fashion an ambitious path for advancing their education. They all gradually gained admission into various higher institutions and were meeting at the popular House of Assembly. They took it further by organizing free long vacation educational coaching for secondary school pupils in Agenebode town. Many youths benefitted from this laudable venture. The informal meeting continued with the group organizing graduation parties for members as they were graduating from higher institutions. The last graduation party was held in 1986. As a strategy to sustain the bond and friendship among the group it was agreed that a socio-philanthropic club be formed. This gave birth to Pyramid Club which was launched on 25th December 1987 at Ogbake Primary School with the Motto: “COMMITMENT TO PROGRESS”.
Aims & Objectives
To use all available means (pressure and persuasion) on Governing authority to muster up the development of Weppa and Uwanno and to protest inequalities in the spread of development.
To stimulate the consciousness of Weppa and Uwanno sons and daughters on the need to strive when and where opportunities become available; on the necessity to allocate infrastructural and other development facilities to Weppa and Uwanno.
To seek to pool together polarized resources and potentials of Weppa and Uwanno sons and daughters and create a basis for unity in thought and action.
To create avenues for ensuring the welfare of members by engaging in and promoting such ventures that will ultimately uplift the standard of living of members and the entire Weppa and Uwanno community.
To engage in, adopt and pursue other aims and objectives as the Club may determine from time to time.
